The Stat-X First Responder is a pull-activated firefighting hand-held device. It is designed to be thrown by hand into an enclosed space where a fire is burning. Three and a half seconds after the pin is pulled, the Stat-X First Responder is activated and fills the space with the highly effective extinguishing aerosol, immediately suppressing the fire.
The primary effect of the extinguishing aerosol is based on the interruption of the chain reaction that takes place during a combustion.
Stat-X aerosol is the most effective extinguishing agent on the market in terms of quantity and spreads like gas, only without toxic properties and without displacing oxygen. Just 500g of extinguishing agent from the Stat-X First Responder is enough to knock back flames and completely extinguish smaller fires.
The Stat-X First Responder is designed exclusively for use by emergency services and trained personnel.

The chemical effect of potassium radicals in pyrogens is similar to that of bromine radicals in halons and can be represented schematically as follows:
K + OH = KOH
KOH + H = K+H²O
Recombination of flame-propelling radicals
The large number of micrometer-sized particles of potassium carbonate creates a very large surface on which the recombination of chain carriers takes place:

The extremely large surface area of the tiny aerosol particles increases the probability of radical recombination and heat-absorbing reactions, thus ensuring rapid extinguishing with a small amount of extinguishing agent.
