Escape route safety
Always open and yet securely locked – escape route security systems are an important part of any security concept.
Escape doors are caught between different usage requirements. In the event of danger, they must be able to be opened “easily and without outside help, with one hand movement across the full width” (state building law); in all other cases, they should protect the facility from burglary, theft or sabotage. It is also not uncommon for certain fire protection requirements to be met.
Early planning of the door concept for a building plays an essential role in achieving optimum results.
